Sterling: the base for contractors
The Sterling Group of companies has always been one of the pioneers within the contractor servicing sector. The Managing Director originally formed Sterling back in 1998 and many of the current directors have been with Sterling from the early days and remain as committed as they were back then. Now employing over 110 full time people at our head office in Warrington we pride ourselves on maintaining a very low staff turnover and always recruiting the best people in the industry to surpass the expectations of our customers and agencies. This is why Sterling is seen by many as one of the leading providers of contractor servicing solutions in the UK. The company was formed with the aim of being a leader and this culture is even stronger today. As a leading organisation, we are always striving to improve and excel, we are fanatical about service levels delivered by professional and dedicated people.

The Sterling Group is led by:
Ian Black - Managing Director
An experienced Chartered Accountant and one of the founding members of the Sterling Group, Ian has directed Sterling through rapid growth and marketplace changes over the last 10 years.
Janene Rudge - Commercial Director
With over 10 years of experience and extensive accounting knowledge and experience, Janene oversees the Business Analysis, HR and IT functions ensuring that the Sterling Group sustains a competitive edge.
Lorraine Ince - Sales Director
Lorraine is chiefly responsible for the Sales function and ensuring that all agencies receive a consistent, high quality service that excels expectations, whilst retaining the professional status of Sterling at all times. Lorraine heads the Sales team with almost a decade of industry experience.
Sarah McIver - Operations Director
With us since 2006, Sarah has over 15 years experience and knowledge in a payments processing and customer service capacity. As Operations Director, Sarah oversees the smooth running and continued efficiency of our Customer Service and Payments teams.
Jennifer Parry - Compliance Director
With 9 years service with Sterling, Jennifer has the responsibility that Sterling complies to current guidelines and legislation. Jennifer oversees health and safety, self-employment status checks, contracts, CIS verifications, ETW checks, insurance claims and overseas assignments. She holds a Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental Management and is a member of IOSH.
Suzanne Ruane - Director of Financial Operations
Since joining Sterling 10 years ago, Suzanne now ensures the banking and finance functions run smoothly to pay contractors on time and that VAT and CIS taxes are processed and paid to HMRC on the dates required.
