Questions about your role
What is your role at Sterling Group?
I am the Sales Manager for the Sterling Group.
What is your background in the industry?
I have spent the last 13 years working in a sales based environment, with just under 10 years working in Recruitment. I feel that my recruitment experience has given me a great insight into the industry and allows me to see things from both sides. I have experience in working with the industry and a clear understanding of the legislation that comes with it.
Could you please describe a typical day in the office?
It may be a cliché, but no 2 days are ever the same. You can be out meeting clients or in the office liaising with contractors, but every day you are not only learning new things but opening and developing opportunities to help grow the business.
Which aspect of your job do you most enjoy?
No one thing stands out more than another. Building relationships is a key part of the role so when you see the work you put in come to fruition it can be really satisfying.
Describe your job in three words
Challenging, rewarding, fast paced.
Questions about you
Do you have any hobbies?
Nothing out of the ordinary. I enjoy most sports, especially football and am a season ticket holder for Liverpool (Up the Reds). I am a member of the Liverpool Running Bugs running club and am going to be running the Great North Run in Sept 2020. I also love cooking and am very experimental in the kitchen.
What is your favourite film?
I would have to say Goodfellas.
What is your favourite food?
Difficult one as I love all food. But I think I would go for Spanish. I love tapas food.
Where would you say is your favourite place?
Well apart from Anfield for obvious reasons, I absolutely love Cornwall. If you get the weather, which I know is very difficult in this country, Cornwall has some amazing beaches, places to visit and loads of things to do.
Do you have any hidden talents or party tricks?
Apart from being called ‘Stato’ when it comes to my knowledge of all things Liverpool FC and football in general, I can’t say I do.
